A creative challenge today….

Spring has sprung! The sun is out and have you spotted and heard the birds? It’s much easier with less traffic noise I’ve found…..

Anyway, your challenge today is to create a seasonal collage.
The theme is ‘Spring’.

What does spring mean to you?
What can you see that would be great to include?
How can you make your collage stand out from the rest?

Best of luck and we look forward to seeing you awesome artwork later – please send us in your pictures to you year group e-mails.

Stay safe and have fun!

Team Valentine

You shake it to the left, you shake it to the right….

I’ve been looking forward to this challenge all week!
This should be really good fun for the family as well as testing your music skills, obviously…..

The challenge is……sing along to a number 1 song from the 1960’s!
You can pick any song from 1960 all the way through to the end of 1969. It was a fantastic time for music and much changed, so I am sure you can find a song you will love.

Extra challenge……can you sing together with somebody else as a duet?

Let us know which song you chose and why.

Buenos dias!

Ola!
Today’s challenge is a hot one…..learn 5 new words in Spanish!
We only start learning Spanish in Key Stage 2 so Year R, 1 and 2 don’t have to do this, but why not have a go anyway?

Ideas and help can be found on the website below:
https://www.spanish-games.net/spanishtopics

If this isn’t for you, try this.
Can you think of a person’s name for every letter of the alphabet?

Good luck, stay safe and let us know how you get on!

Challenge for today!

How did you get on the daily blog challenge yesterday?
Remember to blog and let us know how you got on! Send us your pictures as well – we want to know how you got on.

On to Tuesday’s Tremendous Teaser…..
Design a machine that could help with a daily task.

Let your imagination run riot! What do you really hate having to do that you’d love a machine to do for you? How would it work? The possibilities are endless….

Good luck everyone, have fun and stay safe.

Science Week!

Year 2 have been working hard on their Titanic reports! However, the highlight of the week was all the fun science experiments we did! We observed what happens when Mentos are put in Coke, we made art with Skittles and discovered the best place to use an air gun!

We finally moved in!

What an exciting week we have had getting to know our new school building. We were brave enough to make clay Titanics on the second day and managed to keep the carpets clean!

We also had a visitor this week. Tristan’s mum came into tell us about how job. She works for a marine accident investigation company. She told us about her job and then linked it to the Titanic. We asked lots of questions and can’t wait to use this in our writing.

This week we have Titanic dress up day and World Book Day, don’t forget to get your costumes ready.
